The e-commerce Maze.

Early in the year 2000, Amazon.com listed 242 books available on the subject of Internet Commerce; Barnes & Noble listed 326. By 2005 Amazon had listed 4,142 books while Barnes & Noble listed 3,190.

In 2000 Yahoo indexed 677, 517 web pages on the subject; while Alta Vista listed a mere 39,620 and Infoseek only 29,837. But in 2005 Google listed 308-million pages on the subject and Yahoo listed 104-million.

Hoovers Business Network cataloged 467 publicly traded companies that specialize in e-commerce.

No matter how you cut it…there is a lot of information out there on Internet Commerce. Navigating through that maze would be, within itself, a full time undertaking.

To make matters worse, the great dot-com crash of the year 2000 drove home some points that many, including Gary Green, had been making for a long time...that e-commerce is first and foremost e-BUSINESS.

And, as business, it is formulaic.

Some of the pages of Gary Green's book on making e-commerce work by the formulas...even in the shadow of the dot-com failures...follow. The book is titled “Pay No Attention To The Man Behind The Curtain (Navigating the Information Yellow Brick Superhighway)”. Click here to begin.>>
